Terms of sale and use
Plain terms for buying and using AIOS Lite from usbdriveai.com. Last updated 13 September 2026.
What you are buying
A licence to use AIOS Lite, a packaged local AI assistant for Windows, on your own computers. You are buying software and the work of assembling it. You are not buying the underlying open-source models or runtimes, which remain under their own licences and are listed in our open source notices.
Price and renewal
$9.99 for the initial purchase, which includes twelve months of updates. After that, $9.99 per year if you want updates to continue. It is yearly, not monthly. If you stop paying, the copy you already have keeps working — you simply stop receiving new versions.
Refunds
Thirty days, no questions asked. The full policy is on the refunds page and it takes precedence over anything summarised here.
What we do not promise
We do not promise the software is fit for any particular purpose, and we do not promise the model's answers are correct. A small local language model is a useful tool that is also confidently wrong sometimes. Do not use it as your only source for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
We do not promise it will run on every machine. The requirements are published on the guide page; if your computer is below them it will not work well, and that is a refund rather than a support case.
What you may not do
Resell or redistribute the packaged product as your own, remove attribution or licence notices, or use it to do something illegal. You may use its output freely, including commercially.
Liability
Our total liability is limited to what you paid us. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or anything that follows from relying on a model's output.
Changes
If we change these terms, the version in force for you is the one published when you bought. This page always carries its last-updated date.
